Prof. Dr. Antonín Kříž

Prof. Dr. Antonín Kříž  is a full professor at the Department of Manufacturing Technology at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He is an International Welder Engineer (IWE) and lecturer of International Welder Engineer courses. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Manufacturing Technology and a member of the committee of the Association for Heat Treatment of Metals. His research interests are unique in the field of materials science and technology. His unique research interests are in materials sciences and technologies, specifically in thin films, surface integrity, and bulk materials (e.g., tool steels and sintered carbide). His technological interests include heat treatment, polymer welding, heterogeneous welds, laser cladding, and laser metal deposition. At universities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, he lectures to PhD students in the field of materials, surface treatments, and welding and heat treatment technology. He cooperates on research projects with scientists from Polish technical universities. He is a member of the Research Board (University of West Bohemia) and Subject Area Boards (Production and Material Engineering) at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and Czech Technical University in Prague.
